Updated all drivers, bios is correct, realtek 2. Also if the above seems OK try uninstalling the realtek driver and allow windows update to get the proper version. If its an ip355-e card make sure its enabled in the bios. So, in the end if you're desperate, shoot over to Overclockers and get a soundcard because it's not worth going through the hassle. Everything up to date. I updated all chipset drivers, and scanned with Driver Detective.

Boot up XP, and everything works fine. Does that help troubleshoot? If its a dedicated sound card try refitting it. I tried Realtek Digital Output as default, but that doesn't work either. Beep was present with Hard Boot.

Tried multiple Realtek drivers and nothing works. The time now is Abit IPE with Windows 7 x86 no sound playback I can't seem to paste the image, but it has the 2nd and 4th items from your screen with second Speakers as the default.

If you wanna try one more thing, RealTek have released one more Windows 7 driver just recently, so try that aswell.
