I think the problem is the LAN card. Could you suggest where one might find this setup file?

I updated the driver but I was just able to find a driver for Win 8. Hope this information is helpful. Of course there is no compatibility setting there to change.

I went looking for the 'setup file' for the driver and all I was able to locate was the driver itself which is in 'C: How satisfied are you with this response? The computer is connectet via Ethernet to a router which is working with Gigabit LAN, also with other computers in this network.
